How do individuals’ underlying value orientations affect populist voting? Building on the congruency model in social psychology, we theorize that voters holding non-conformist values feel closest to political actors who employ a taboo-breaking style debate. Moreover, hypothesize security and universalism feed into vote choices between right-wing left-wing parties. Leveraging structural equation modeling (SEM) data from 2017 German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES), find predict voting for far-right Alternative Germany (AfD), but not The Left. Further, are associated with higher probability of only also mainstream These findings point role basic human electoral support parties behavior general. How human perceptions of Mura affect LCD market values

Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) hold a large share of the flat-panel display market because LCDs offer advantages such as low power consumption, low radiation, and good image quality. However, image defects, such as spotlight, uniformity, and Mura defects, can impair the quality of an LCD. This research examined human perceptions of region-Mura and used Response Time and subjective markdown pric...

Sustainable Lifestyles – How Values Affect Sustainable Practises

This paper presents a project that explores how different values and lifestyle choices are related to sustainable practices. The goal has been to develop an understanding of both complexity in people’s everyday practices as well as patterns in this complexity to be used when designing interventions for sustainable lifestyles. In the project, we have used a mixed methods approach in order to dev...

How meaningful are Bayesian support values?

In this study, we used an empirical example based on 100 mitochondrial genomes from higher teleost fishes to compare the accuracy of parsimony-based jackknife values with Bayesian support values. Phylogenetic analyses of 366 partitions, using differential taxon and character sampling from the entire data matrix of 100 taxa and 7,990 characters, were performed for both phylogenetic methods. The ...
